Founded in 1957 as an architectural business by Arnold Waring and Leonard Netts, the practice developed an award winning reputation for social housing.

Waring and Netts continued a pattern of steady growth and developed expertise in the education, commercial and health sectors. In 2005, the partnership became a limited company.

In 2007, the company moved into spaceworks, bringing several teams together, embracing the space ethos of integrated working.

The same year also saw the establishment of the company's Yorkshire and Humberside regional base, a 4,500sq ft building in the heart of the vibrant Brewery Wharf area in Leeds.

In 2008, _space management was formed to provide supporting and complimentary services to the clients of the architectural business.
